About Artist

Paweł Smardzewski – journalism graduate. Illustrator by profession. He collaborates with leading Polish publishing houses. He designs book covers and graphic identities. Drawing inspiration from music and street photography, he creates comic-style social and psychological graphics about contemporary life with a subtle abstract twist. In his works, he places his characters in brutalist and modernist architecture, as well as in outer space. He blends pastel nostalgia with the poetics of magical realism.
