How does a tennis canvas differ from a fine art print?

Our canvases are printed on high-quality Hahnemühle 365gsm cotton canvas and delivered stretched over a wooden stretcher frame, ready to hang straight away, with no framing needed. A fine art print is printed on archival Galerie Rag 270gsm paper and needs a frame with glass. The canvas gives physical depth and the texture of fabric, while the print offers a more gallery-like elegance. Choose the canvas if you want a large statement piece ready straight out of the box; choose the print if you are building a gallery wall of several works in matching frames.

Does a canvas print need framing?

No. Every canvas is delivered stretched over a wooden stretcher frame, ready to hang. Thanks to the printed edges, it looks great from every angle. You can enjoy the art the moment you lift it out of its secure, reinforced packaging.

Which canvas size should I choose?

The right size depends on where the canvas will hang and how prominent you want it to be in the space. For a small wall, or as part of a gallery wall of several pieces, we recommend 30 × 40 cm or 40 × 50 cm. For a main wall in a bedroom, office or hallway, 50 × 70 cm. For a living room, as a dominant focal point, 70 × 100 cm. For a large, open space, as an architectural accent, 100 × 140 cm. The 50 × 70 cm and 70 × 100 cm canvases are the most popular choice for a living room.

How much does a tennis canvas print cost at SVA?

Prices for tennis canvas prints start at 59 € for the smaller sizes and reach 199 € for the largest (100 × 140 cm). You will see the exact price for each size on the product page. The price includes: an archival pigment print on Hahnemühle 365gsm canvas, hand stretching over a wooden stretcher frame, a numbered edition and a certificate of authenticity.

How long do the colours of a canvas print last?

Pigment prints on Hahnemühle 365gsm cotton canvas keep full colour fidelity for 75+ years when displayed away from direct sunlight. It is the same archival standard that museums use to reproduce works of art. The canvas surface is matt and does not reflect light, so you can view the piece from any angle without glare.

Are SVA pieces signed and numbered?

Every piece is numbered. For example, “12/50” means the twelfth copy from an edition limited to 50. Depending on the artist’s style, the piece may also carry a signature. With each piece you receive a certificate of authenticity showing the title of the work, the edition number and the print date.

How is the canvas shipped, and what if it arrives damaged?

We pack canvases in rigid boxes with a protective foam insert and corner guards that protect the stretcher frame. Shipping is insured. If the canvas is damaged in transit, we will send a replacement at our expense. Just report the problem by email, with photos of the damage, within 14 days of delivery. You return the damaged canvas at our expense. Full refund or replacement guaranteed.
