Krystina Vilchynska
An artist who has devoted herself to painting with passion from her earliest years. She now lives permanently in Warsaw, where she continues her artistic journey. Although she graduated in Interior Architecture in Łódź, painting has always been her true passion and means of expression. Vilchynska’s colourful compositions are not only an expression of artistic sensibility but also a deep psychological study of people caught in their circumstances.

Her use of flat fields of colour leaves room for the viewer to read their own narrative into the work. In this way the artist creates a space in which the viewer can supply their own meaning, an opening for subjective interpretation.
A limited edition canvas print
The hand-painted originals behind much of our work are scanned at 600 DPI, with a colour proof checked before printing. We print with pigment inks (giclée) on an Epson SureColor P9000 plotter, using Epson UltraChrome HDX pigment inks.
Our canvases are printed on matt Solution Canvas 365 gsm with a visible weave that gives the reproduction the character of a painting. The print is protected with a matt Hahnemühle varnish; according to the manufacturer it increases the resistance of the colours to light, makes the surface water resistant and protects the canvas against cracking. The matt finish does not reflect light.
The canvas is stretched by hand over a wooden stretcher with a 20 × 35 mm profile. The image is printed on the sides as well, so it needs no frame and reaches you ready to hang.

Which canvas size should I choose?
The right size depends on where the canvas will hang and how prominent you want it to be in the space. For a small wall, or as part of a gallery wall of several pieces, we recommend 30 × 40 cm. How do I hang a canvas print?
Our canvas prints are stretched on wooden stretcher frames, which makes them quick to hang in several ways. Choose the method that best suits your wall:
Traditional methods (these need drilling or nails):
- Hooks and sawtooth hangers: metal fittings screwed to the frame that hook over a nail or screw.
- Directly on the frame: you can hang the canvas by resting the top edge of the stretcher frame straight onto a nail.
- Wall plugs: needed for concrete walls and heavier canvases to keep everything fully secure.
No-drill methods (non-invasive):
- Hook-and-loop strips and mounting tape: let you hang the canvas without damaging the wall (for example Command strips). They hold up to a few kilograms.
- Self-adhesive hooks: ideal for plaster and wallpaper (for example the tesa brand). They often have a height adjustment, which makes it easy to level the piece.
How thick is the stretcher frame, and are the sides of the canvas visible?
Our stretcher frames are wooden, with a 20 × 35 mm profile. The sides show a mirrored continuation of the image, which reinforces the piece’s character as a finished art object that needs no frame. The sides carry a mirrored continuation of the image, so nothing of the composition is cropped. For most of our customers this is exactly the look they want, and a welcome alternative to a classic frame.
How do I clean a canvas print?
We finish our canvases with a matt Hahnemühle varnish; according to the manufacturer it increases the resistance of the colours to light, makes the surface water resistant and protects the canvas against cracking. To clean it, use a dry, soft microfibre cloth and gentle strokes. Avoid wet wipes, chemical cleaners, alcohol and long hours of direct sunlight each day.
