Every piece we publish is made with a named artist. Here are the people behind the work.
Marta Bazan
Marta is an illustrator in love with colour, shape, line and pattern. She makes cheerfully unserious illustrations in an unlimited palette. In daily life she values restraint, but in her drawings what matters is the countless detail, the colour and the light. She likes drawing funny characters, architecture and still lifes best. She wants her illustrations to make people smile, the small ones and the fully grown ones alike.
Engineering turned out too serious and marketing too pushy, so going back to a teenage passion was exactly the right call.
She paints in traditional media, with the odd exception, swapping gouache for a tablet now and then. More and more often she reaches for markers or coloured pencils, which give her even more freedom to play with form and texture. She loves retro book and magazine illustration, but most of her ideas come from ordinary life: people met by chance, colourful clothes and travel.
No, she does not play tennis, but she is very good at supporting from the stands and in front of the television.

Yana Boyko
A Ukrainian artist and illustrator living in Portugal. She works by hand in traditional media, above all oil pastels, which give her work a vivid, physical quality.
Sports illustration interests her in particular, where an expressive visual language lets her catch movement and emotion.

Nina Budzyńska
A graduate of the University of the Arts in Poznań: graphic artist, illustrator, painter. Winner of the international jury grand prize at the Jasnowidze 2020/2021 competition.
She co-runs the Ksero risograph press, the Sitko screen-printing studio and Zinek, an independent culture centre and zine reading room. She illustrates children’s books and works with many cultural institutions.
She leads the Comics and Graphic Novel Studio on the part-time programme at the University of the Arts in Poznań, runs workshops for children and adults, and coordinates events. In her free time she paints colourful, wild pictures.

Katarzyna Kwater-Więcek
A graduate of the Fine Arts secondary school in Kraków and of graphic art at the Pedagogical University in Kraków. She designs digital products for a living, which shows clearly in her painting.
Her work examines the relationship between people, technology and the image, which is why a male figure staring into a screen recurs as a symbol of the present. What interests her is the suspended state between concentration and the hypnotic trance the display induces.

Krystina Vilchynska
She has painted with passion since her earliest years. Although she studied interior architecture in Łódź, painting was always her real vocation and her way of speaking. She now lives in Warsaw.
Her colourful compositions are not only a matter of artistic instinct but of close psychological reading of a person caught in their circumstances. She returns to subjects near to her: beauty, and being in harmony with people and with the natural world around her.
Flat fields of colour leave room for the viewer to read their own story into the work. The artist gives the viewer space to add their own meaning and their own interpretation.

Jolanta Ziółkowska
Born in 1970, a graduate of the Institute of Art at the University of Silesia. She trained under Professor E. Delekta in printmaking and Professor M. Łuszczak in computer graphics. For six years she has worked closely with the Atina art group.
She paints mainly in acrylic now. She is moving away from realism towards simplified, geometricised forms, often female figures treated synthetically, their silhouettes built from sharp lines, arcs and intersecting planes, which gives the composition rhythm and an architectural discipline.
Her work is marked by a precise, decorative line that does more than outline: it builds subtle detail. The training in graphic art shows here, in the care for clean form and compositional order.
